We had a blast learning about apples throughout the month of September. We found out if you cut an apple horizontally through the middle, you'll find a star! We graphed our favorite kind of apple--Granny Smith, Red Delicious, or Golden Delicious. We learned that Johnny Appleseed's birthday was September 26th. We were surprised to find out that apples start out as pink flowers in the spring. But by far, we had the most fun tasting all the treats that can be made with apples! Boy, were we amazed at all the delicious goodies you can make with apples. There was a consensus that apple butter sounded really good, but didn't taste as good as we hoped!
